Our main goal here at 7th Suavenue is giving you tips, tricks and inspiration on how to make sure you’re the best possible version of a well-groomed urban man. So, we’ve put together a little HOW TO guide on achieving phenomenal skin and how to maintain it. We’re basically giving you gentlemen out there a customised skincare routine that will have your skin glowing in the summer sun. So, put on a face mask (we recommend the Simple hydration sheet mask) and enjoy.

It’s come to our attention that many men believe skincare is only for ladies and don’t realise that grooming and taking care of your skin is a necessary and important part of being the best version of yourself. It doesn’t have to be this time consuming, tedious chore. Skincare can be relaxing and therapeutic. Throw on a mask while you’re playing FIFA with the boys or exfoliate while you catch up on the highlights of yesterday’s man u v arsenal game. Tone while you listen to the latest drop from your favourite artist or moisturise while you listen to your favourite podcast. See?  Skincare can be worked into any daily routine and you can even join in with that special lady and spend some QT together.

Now for what you’ve been waiting for. The Ultimate skincare routine. We know you’re all busy gentlemen so we’re going to keep it simple for you with a face wash, a toner and a moisturiser for daily use, and a scrub and mask for weekly use.

The first product is an Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Camelina face wash. Aloe Vera is great because it’s healing properties can treat small cuts caused by shaving, while the green tea soothes and refreshes it, with the Camelina adding extraordinary anti-inflammatory benefits.

Next up is Witch Hazel and Tea Tree toner. Toners are important as they help to correct any scarring/ dark marks on the skin while simultaneously cleansing the skin of impurities. Witch hazel has many properties, especially helping to rid excess oil and soaking up grease which ultimately prevents spots.

Last but not least, everyone needs a good moisturise. We recommend the Guarana and Coffee energising moisturiser for men from body shop. Ditch your coffee dependency and try this moisturiser instead which instantly invigorates and energises the face while providing moisture.

No skincare routine is complete without a face scrub which should be used 1-2 times a week as they tend to be a bit harsher on the skin in order to get rid of dead skin particles. One that we’ve been loving is the Apricot Face Scrub by St. Ives which deeply cleans the pores, getting rid of toxins and dead skin on the surface.

Finally, Face Masks. Masks are important as they deliver extended doses of skin treatment and are also relaxing, it’s like giving yourself a mini spa break which everyone needs once in a while.  On the more expensive side is the Tom Ford intensive purifying Mud Mask which draws out excess oils and toxins while getting rid of fine lines and dark marks, leave it on for 15 – 20 mins before you wash off and enjoy the start of the premier league while it works its magic. On the less expensive side (and a personal favourite) is the hydrating sheet mask from simple which is incredibly cool and soothing while providing much needed hydration and vitamins to the skin, leave on for 15 mins before peeling off and rubbing the excess serum into the skin which leaves it glowing.

All done, simple, straightforward and inexpensive. We hope you’ll start to enjoy grooming and skincare more and that we can continue to be a part of your journey to be the best you.
